New Delhi: Pain in the stomach, ears, arms, or legs is often considered tolerable but the one form of it that affects people most is headaches. It is a no-brainer that headaches and migraines are the most bothersome for many reasons – they can take a toll on focus, concentration, desire to work and study, or anything else for that pain. Migraines, particularly, can be debilitating and may result in nausea and even sensitivity to light. But surprisingly, a recent study published by Nutritional Neuroscience found a link between eating habits and migraines.
How are migraines linked with diet ?
Involving 8953 participants, the study discovered that 1838 people involved in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey from 1999-2004 were suffering from migraines. And while considering the variables responsible, the people behind the study analysed data and found a link between headaches and diet – specifically using prognostic nutritional index and its effect on severe headaches and migraines.
