Raul Rosas Jr. is quickly gaining a lot of attention for being the youngest-ever fighter to compete in the UFC. His diet during fight camp has caused a stir since it was revealed earlier today.
The New Mexico-born bantamweight initially caught fans’ attention due to his age but captivated them with just how experienced he looks when the cage door closes.
His ground game is where he excels in the fight game, but his ever-growing fondness for the striking department makes him a well-versed contender.
During a recent interview ahead of his fight at UFC 282, Raul Rosas Jr. revealed his unhealthy eating habits throughout training camp:
“I actually had a dietician for my last fight, shout out to them. But for this fight, I didn’t have no dietician, like, I know the P.I. has some, but I didn’t use it because I don’t feel like I needed it.”
Rosas Jr. continued:
“I just had lunch like an hour ago and I just had two slices of pizza and some chocolate chip cookies and I feel great… That’s what’s hard about school, like, I would go to the cafeteria [and] the only good thing was pizza, everything else wasn’t that good… That’s all I do, I just sleep, train, repeat. That’s all I do.”
Although he is still young, the sooner he is able to get his diet under control, hire a dietician and take full advantage of a strength and conditioning coach, he can tremendously improve the longevity of his martial arts career.
